“Cor”is Latin for heart. At the very core of our existence is the human body with its maleness or femaleness stamped right into it. And at the very core of our body is the heart. The Catechism of the Catholic Church calls the heart “our dwelling-place.” It says “the heart is our hidden center, beyond the grasp of our reason and of others; only the Spirit of God can fathom the human heart and know it fully. The heart is the place of truth…it is the place of encounter…it is the place of covenant.” The heart is the place of decision – where we can enter into a covenantal relationship with Christ, reciprocating His desire for complete union with us.
The Fill These Hearts tour goes beyond simply informing and instructing. It is unlike any presentation the Toledo area has ever experienced. It is an evening of beauty and reflection, blending spoken presentations, music, and art. Through the use of video art presentations, the dynamic and expressive music of Mike Mangione and the Union, and the lively and riveting talks by renowned speaker and author Christopher West, we will get a glimpse of what is true and good about our bodies as we look at them through the lens of Pope John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.
Mark your calendars now, SAVE THE DATE, and join us for this uplifting evening as we Fill These Hearts with the truth and joy that is at the very core, theveryheart of the Gospel message.
